Beth A. Ronnenburg, SPHR
President, Berkshire Associates Inc.
As President of Berkshire Associates Inc., Beth Ronnenburg, SPHR is responsible for leading one of the most reputable and respected brands in affirmative action compliance solutions. Ronnenburg, who became President in June 2011, is the steward of Berkshire’s strategic vision, “to help companies build their ideal, balanced workforce.” She oversees all business interests and operations, including product development, consulting, marketing, and sales to ensure the delivery of high-caliber solutions to clients. Ronnenburg, along with the Leadership Team, also ensures short and long-term goals are aligned with the company’s strategic plan for innovation, increased profitability, and growth.
Ronnenburg started at Berkshire as a consultant in 1996 and was soon recognized for her ability to handle large, complex affirmative action planning projects. She rose to Manager of Client Services in 2000, and her division flourished under her leadership. Berkshire’s Client Services team, under the guidance of Ronnenburg and Founder Dawn S. Hyde, maintained a steady increase of Fortune 500 clients, and on any given year, retained over 80 percent of Berkshire’s client base. As a human resource professional, Ronnenburg had a unique edge. She used her insight in the changing field of human resources, to continuously optimize and shape Berkshire’s scope of services to meet the changing compliance environment. As a result, the Client Services division developed a reputation for delivering a level of service unprecedented in the industry—setting Berkshire apart from other vendors and resulting in a 96 percent customer satisfaction rating. This solidified Berkshire’s position in the marketplace, and sealed Ronnenburg’s position as one of the foremost experts on affirmative action solutions. In 2006, she ascended to Vice President of Client Services and Business Administration.
With over 15 years of human resources and management experience, Ronnenburg’s influence still holds strong. She continues to help this nation’s top law firms and Fortune 500 companies navigate through the complex regulatory requirements of the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP). Her understanding of the inner-workings of the OFCCP, including the impact of recent agency and legislative changes, often take her around the country where she coaches companies on effective solutions for remaining proactive and reducing liability.
Her knowledge of how AA/EEO laws impact particular industries including healthcare, manufacturing, foodservice, hospitality, technology, education, and retail allow her to advise on the right solutions to ensure compliance—as evident in the lasting relationships she has forged with some of the most well-known companies in these industries.
Ronnenburg currently serves as President of the Maryland Association of Affirmative Action Officers (MAAAO) and is an active member of the Baltimore Industry Liaison Group (BILG) and the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). Dedicated to keeping her fellow HR professionals informed, she regularly presents at local and national meetings and conferences including SHRM, American Association for Affirmative Action (AAAA), and the Industry Liaison Group (ILG).
Mrs. Ronnenburg holds a Bachelors Degree in Psychology and a Masters degree in Human Resources and Organization Development from The Johns Hopkins University. She is an HRCI certified Senior Professional in Human Resources.
