The Greater Baltimore Committee named Berkshire Associates a finalist in the 2009 Bridging the Gap Achievement Awards due to its contributions to the growth and expansion of the minority business community in the greater Baltimore region.

President & Founder, Dawn S. Hyde, SPHR, is honored to have Berkshire’s efforts recognized. “I am thankful for being named a finalist. Our business achievements, and those of our clients, have allowed us to contribute to the local economy through job creation and the ability to work with local vendors. Having been in business for over 25 years, we will carry on our mission to provide companies with HR solutions to help them create their ideal, balanced workforce.”

With a mission to provide the most up-to-date and efficient human resources software and solutions to federal contractors and private corporations, Ms. Hyde credits her employees’ determination to satisfy client needs as the reason for Berkshire’s success. “We wouldn’t be where we are today without embracing the mindset of others, and working to exceed expectations,” she says.

In 1983, Dawn started Berkshire to meet the affirmative action, compensation, and diversity needs of professionals throughout the country. Her company has grown to service over 2,900 clients nationwide. She recently launched the first web-based affirmative action software, BALANCEaap Web, which allows professionals to create a 100% OFCCP compliant plan, right from the Web.
