Berkshire Compliance Update: Corporate Scheduling Announcement Letter Alert

According to reports out of Washington, D.C., the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) has begun sending out its 2011 Corporate Scheduling Announcement Letters (CSALs) to federal contractors. CSALs give federal contractors an early notification of the number and location of establishments that may potentially be audited by the OFCCP. The letter is usually addressed to the CEO of the company. Contractors should notify the executive offices to be on the lookout for this letter, and request it is forwarded to the appropriate department.

The receipt of a CSAL is not notice of an audit; it is a notification that those locations are likely to be audited in the coming year. Contractors should review the results of the plans on the list, but wait for the official notice, in the form of the scheduling letter sent to the location, to submit the affirmative action plan.
