BALANCEpay Product Announcement

Berkshire is pleased to announce the third Service Release (SR3) of BALANCEpay, which includes several enhancements and changes since the release of SR2. These new enhancements will make working on your compensation analyses not just easier, but more efficient and advanced. From the increased capabilities of the Standard Cohort Analysis and Multiple Regression Analyses, to a brand new Analysis Summary report and narrative, BALANCEpay is more robust than ever.
Enhancements:
1.  Standard Cohort Analysis
  • The Standard Cohort Analysis now allows for comparison of multiple predicting variables when flagging employees with potential problems.
  • A new option is available to only show groups that are recommended to run a Cohort Analysis as determined by the Preliminary Analysis.
  • The dollar amount difference between an employee and a flagged comparator is now displayed on the report.

  • A new "Detail by Comparator" option has been added to the Standard Cohort Report that can list multiple comparators an employee is flagged against.

2.  Multiple Regression Analyses

  • The ANOVA table can now be excluded from the detail report using a new option.
  • The summary report now shows the coefficient values for each predicting variable.
  • All analyses that utilize regression results (Multiple Regression Analysis, Corrected Means Analysis, Statistical Cohort) now allows for predicting variables to be customized per grade, title, etc.  

3.  The Excel export for several reports has been modified to provide cleaner formatting.

4.  BALANCEpay now imports and exports data to and from Excel 2007 files.

5.  All report titles now include the reporting group name as part of the title.

6.  A new Analysis Summary report has been added which summarizes the results of the Desk Audit, Multiple Regression, Standard Cohort, and Preliminary Analyses into a single report. An optional narrative portion can be included with the analysis to describe the findings of the report.

Changes:

  • Importing from BALANCEaap now properly accounts for corporate initiatives.
  • BALANCEpay previously would display an unexpected error in some situations when adding records after an expansion field had been created. This has been resolved.
  • Issues with the labels on the summary page of the Desk Audit Analysis have been resolved.
  • Previously, employees that had a blank value for any reporting group would be excluded for all reporting groups. BALANCEpay now properly only excludes records for reporting groups where a value is missing.
  • Problems with modifying data associated with expansion fields have been resolved.
