On February 3, President Trump announced his intent to nominate Craig Leen, OFCCP Director since December 2018, to become the Inspector General for the Office of Personnel Management (OPM). OPM is the chief human resources agency for the federal government and federal government employees. According to OPM’s website, the Office of the Inspector General (OIG) is an independent office within the Office of Personnel Management that provides independent and objective oversight of OPM services and programs by conducting audits, investigations, and evaluations. Director Leen will continue to serve in his current role until he is confirmed by the Senate to the Inspector General position.
