California Pay Data Reporting Update Webinar Image

California Pay Data Reporting Update

Recorded:   February 9, 2021

In September, California passed a new law requiring employers to submit compensation data to the state each year. The law seeks to help employers rectify the persistent issue of wage gap between women and men.

The California Pay Data Reporting law will affect employers in different ways, depending on their number of employees who live in, work in, or report to others who live and work in California.

Since the new law was enacted, Berkshire has been working to understand and interpret it for our clients. In this 40-minute webinar, we will go over what we know and answer questions from attendees.

Cindy Karrow, Managing Consultant, and Dr. Thomas Carnahan, Pay Equity Manager, will team up to discuss the ramifications of the new law, what data will be required, and who will be required to file, based on what we have learned from the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing (DFEH), which is implementing the new law.
You will learn:

  • how and when you’ll submit data
  • how to organize your data
  • how you should analyze your data prior to submission
  • what DFEH may find when they analyze your data
  • the implications of this new law

We will also address any new updates released by the DFEH and changes made to their FAQ page.

Be sure to register to attend this webinar and to be kept in the loop on future updates to this new California law.
