As President of Berkshire, Beth Ronnenburg, SPHR, SHRM-SCP is responsible for leading one of the most reputable and respected brands in affirmative action compliance solutions. Beth, who became President in June 2011, is the steward of Berkshire's strategic vision, “to lead the HR industry in building a society where equal access to employment opportunities, compensation equity, and an inclusive work environment are fundamental for all businesses.” She oversees all business interests and operations, and more importantly, Beth is a well-known thought leader who speaks regularly at conferences including SHRM, National Industry Liaison Group (NILG), and other national events. She currently serves as a board member for the NILG, where she represents the Mid-Atlantic Region. She is also the Chair of the Baltimore ILG.
Cheryl Boyer, SHRM-SCP, SPHR, is currently the Director of Diversity Services for Berkshire Associates. She brings over 25 years of HR experience to Berkshire’s leadership team, providing valuable strategic direction to the company on solving client’s business issues as they relate to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. Under Cheryl’s direction, this service takes a quantitative look at data to evaluate a company’s DEI-related metrics and progress. Cheryl also provides consulting on EEO, Affirmative Action, and DEI to clients seeking an expert with “real life” experiences leading HR and senior level executive in these areas.
As Berkshire’s Director of Audit & HR Services, Lynn Clements, Esq. manages Berkshire’s Pay Equity, HR Services and Audit Defense practices. With 25 years of experience in the EEO and affirmative action space -- including nearly eight years working as a former senior official at the EEOC and OFFCP -- Lynn brings a unique blend of regulatory knowledge and practical compliance expertise to every project she oversees. At Berkshire, Lynn’s superpower lies in her unique ability to guide clients through the stressful process of responding to government investigations.
Karl Hester is the Director of IT & Product Development for Berkshire, a leading provider of high quality, state-of-the-art applications and consulting services, specializing in human resources and affirmative action. Karl has been with Berkshire since 1998 and has been involved with and managed all aspects of Berkshire's products throughout his tenure, including application development, system implementation, application deployment, and client support. In addition to managing Berkshire’s product line, Karl has worked extensively with clients to design and develop custom solutions to extend the needs of Berkshire’s core offerings. As IT Director, Karl is also responsible for the day-to-day management of the IT infrastructure for both the corporate network and for Berkshire's SaaS based offerings. Karl has a bachelor's degree in Computer Science and a master's degree in Applied Information Technology from Towson University. He has experience in architecting and developing solutions for a variety of platforms.
Michele Hester, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, is Director of Affirmative Action and Training Services. With over 25 years in the human resource industry and more than 20 years at Berkshire, Michele is an expert in HR practices and procedures related to affirmative action and EEO compliance. This experience allows her to lead a team of expert consultants who deliver compliance expertise and solutions to companies of all sizes and across all industries. Michele holds a Master of Business Administration in Human Resource Management and Management Skills from New York State University at Buffalo.
As Director of Finance and Administration for Berkshire, Lisa Roeder oversees the Accounting, Human Resources, and Facilities departments. With over 30 years of accounting and business management experience working in the government, manufacturing, and services industries, Lisa understands what it takes to keep business processes running effectively. Lisa is an active member of Society for Human Resource Management. She received her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Central Missouri.
As Director of Sales and Marketing for Berkshire, Mike Jalali spearheads marketing, along with client acquisition and retention strategies. With a degree in economics and over 30 years of business leadership, including time at IBM and the American Red Cross, Mike applies his in-depth knowledge to address the unique needs of our Berkshire clients. Having navigated the non-profit, government and education, technology and professional services industries, Mike understands how to build the important connection between client service and client retention as he supports the Berkshire commitment to building mutually beneficial relationships.
