Vietnam Era Veterans’ Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA) obligates Federal contractors and subcontractors that are subject to the statute’s affirmative action provisions to report annually to the Secretary of Labor on their employees and new hires who belong to the specific categories of veterans protected under the statute using the Veterans employment report (VETS-4212).

The Veterans employment report (VETS-4212) form expired on March 31, 2021. Office of Management and Budget (OMB) approved a new form with no changes (OMB Control No: 1293-0005), so the current VETS-4212 report will be the same through April 30, 2024.

As a reminder, the VETS portal will open for filing in August 2021 for all federal contractors and subcontractors and the report is due by September 30.
