As Berkshire staff settle into a remote work environment amidst the COVID-19 outbreak, our leaders have expanded their focus to find ways to help our local communities in this unprecedented time. In an effort to support hospital workers on the frontlines, Berkshire is donating a total of 500 catered lunches from Mission BBQ to several local hospitals, including University of Maryland Medical Center, MedStar Georgetown University Hospital, and Howard County General Hospital, and Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center.
Our entire team is proud to be able to offer a hot meal to the men and women who are working tirelessly to keep our communities healthy. And it’s fitting – Berkshire has always prided itself in the family-like environment that we’ve fostered for our clients and employees. We hope that this homestyle southern meal gives hospital workers some comfort amidst their stressful and difficult days.
While this time has been challenging for everyone in our community, Berkshire has been inspired by the way our clients and neighbors are pitching in and doing their part to fight the spread of the coronavirus.
We recently learned, for example, that our clients at Carhartt have switched up their operations to produce masks and gowns, resources that are so desperately in demand. Meanwhile, we have clients from Ohio to California, donating hazmat suits and medical gowns to hospitals nationwide.
We always knew that our clients were the best, and these stories just confirm it!
In these trying times, gestures like these remind us that we are all in it together. That's why Berkshire is looking to fill our social media channels with stories of hope and generosity.
We want to hear what YOU’RE doing to support your communities.
