From Pay Ranges to Pay Data: Aligning HR and Legal for 2026 State Requirements

Date: March 11, 2026 - 2:00pm (ET)

State pay regulation has continued to expand in scope and complexity through 2026, with more jurisdictions adopting or tightening requirements related to pay transparency, pay data reporting, equal pay enforcement, and recordkeeping.

On March 11th, Berkshire’s Brian Marentette and Thomas Carnahan will provide an employer-focused overview of the current state landscape and highlight practical steps HR, Total Rewards, and Legal/Compliance teams can take to reduce risk and improve readiness for audits, employee inquiries, and agency enforcement.

They will review:

  • the major categories of state-level requirements, including pay range disclosures in job postings and internal opportunities

  • wage history restrictions

  • how wage compression may highlight concerns
  • and pay data reporting

They will conclude with practical steps that HR professionals can take to prepare for the 2026 reporting year.
