Understanding the New Executive Order on DEI and Its Impact on Federal Contractors

Date: April 13, 2026 - 1:00pm-1:30pm (ET)

Federal contractors face an accelerated compliance timeline under the new Executive Order addressing race-based DEI-related activities — leaving little room for delay in assessing risk and aligning internal programs. With certifications tied to federal contracts now under heightened scrutiny, organizations must act quickly to evaluate potential exposure under the False Claims Act (FCA) and ensure that their DEI initiatives and employment practices can withstand enforcement review.

Join Berkshire’s Co-President, Beth Ronnenburg, SPHR, SHRM-SCP and former Commissioner and acting Chair, U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Vicki Lipnic, Esq. from Resolution Economics for a fast-paced 30-minute webinar on April 13th at 1:00pm, where they will break down what this new executive order does and what federal contractors should expect next. Designed for HR, legal, and compliance professionals, the session will focus on immediate action steps, emphasizing the priorities to focus on now to mitigate risk before certifications are made or renewed.

Our panel of experts will discuss:

  • The key requirements of the Executive Order, including a new focus on supply chain monitoring

  • What the compressed implementation timeline means for federal contractors and subcontractors

  • Immediate and practical steps for conducting defensible audits of your employment practices before you certify
