OFCCP Continues Building Collaborative RelationshipsEarlier this month, OFCCP signed a nonbinding memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Council of State Administrators of Vocational Rehabilitation (CSAVR). The intent of the MOU is to improve both the enforcement of and compliance assistance for Section 503 and VEVRAA regulations. The agency and Council will share resources and information that will be beneficial to stakeholders. The OFCCP will include the CSAVR as a possible disability inclusion resource and will refer contractors to the Council. The OFCCP will also take part in the annual CSAVR conference. The CSAVR will share resources with the agency on topics such as disability awareness, reasonable accommodations, and using assistive technology in the workplace. The signing of the MOU is timely since the Section 503 focused reviews are underway and October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month. This collaborative partnership provides another resource for contractors for Section 503 and VEVRAA compliance.
