The U.S. Department of labor has launched an online dialogue center for women in the workforce using their previous existing website, PolicyWorks. Policyworks is a web-based tool that has been in place since 2013 and helps citizens and stakeholders connect in new ways by gathering information from the public about barriers in employment. The information received through this platform is used to help the Federal Government increase the validity of their policymaking processes.

This new dialogue center for women will be used to help understand barriers that women experience in the workplace, underlying issues in women’s rights, and gender equality for women after the COVID-19 recession.

The dialogue center will be open until July 9, 2021 and individuals can submit their input under multiple themes the Department of Labor has included on the site:

  1. Ensuring equity in the American Jobs Plan
  2. Promotion Gender Equity in the workplace
  3. Ensuring equitable access to paid leave
  4. Creating a safe and welcoming workplace
  5. Adapting to a changing labor market

In order participate in the dialogue, you can register here.
